Each season, NCCMI presents multiple concerts featuring faculty members. Each concert is curated by an NCCMI artist-teacher and features a mixture of traditional and other styles of chamber music.
All concerts are free and open to the general public. Donations to support NCCMI and this series are gratefully accepted.

IMPACT Series I: Romantic Overtones

Concert features Anton Arensky’s Piano Trio in D minor, as well as the premiere of James Dargan’s new quartet, Four Part Find. Mr. Dargan was commissioned by NCCMI to compose the piece.
Musicians are NCCMI faculty and members of the NC Symphony: Emily Glover, violin; Jimmy Gilmore, clarinet; Elizabeth Beilman, cello; and Solomon Eichner, piano.

James Dargan will return to Raleigh to perform alongside NCCMI faculty in a concert that includes important and influential works by composers of color. Immediately prior to the concert (6:00pm), NCCMI will present, Conversation with the Composer! Anyone interested in how someone becomes a composer should plan to attend this interactive event. Students are especially encouraged to attend the free and informal event.

IMPACT Series III: Valentine's Concert with Audio Description and Tactile Tour of Instruments!
Date/Time: Sunday, February 15 at 4:00 PM. Concert length is approximately 75 minutes. Tactile Tour of Instruments from 2:45-3:30 PM.
Location: Church of the Nativity 8849 Ray Rd., Raleigh
This musical event for all ages features classical and popular selections performed by NC Chamber Music Institute student ensembles. Different combinations of string instruments and piano will perform. An inclusive experience with a Pre-Concert Tactile Tour of Instruments!
