NCCMI has received its first North Carolina Arts Council grant, in support of our IMPACT Series. A “Spark the Arts” Project, the 3-concert series features outstanding performers including NC Symphony, faculty musicians and emerging young artists, and highlight NC and Black composers with a bonus event: a Valentine’s Concert with Tactile Tour of Instruments.
The series kicks off with Beethoven and Beyond! on 10/30/22 at Church of the Nativity in Raleigh. In this program curated by Elizabeth Beilman, Aurora Musicalis String Quartet will perform Germaine Tailleferre’s Quartet and Beethoven’s famous “Harp” String Quartet. They are joined on the program by NCCMI faculty musicians Kent Lyman, Jessica Ryou and Qi Cao for the premiere of a NCCMI-commissioned piece by composer Quenton Blache and the Seitz Piano Quartet, Op. 35. Don’t miss this exciting and fun concert!
This concert is FREE and open to the general public!
The FREE Encore stream of the concert is on November 7 at 6 PM on the NCCMI YouTube Channel.
